Through integration and advancement across shipping, ports, and land transportation, we aim to create a leading container terminal representing Japan, capable of global outreach.

Our company was established in July 2003 with the collaboration of shipping, port, and land transportation industries, in response to the vulnerability of port functions during the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake. With a focus on enhancing international competitiveness and pursuing privately-led terminals, we opened the Nagoya Port Model Terminal, a super central port, in December 2005.

In addition to various seismic facilities, we introduced the world's first remotely operated RTG (Rubber Tire Gantry Crane) crane at the time of opening. Furthermore, since the introduction of unmanned Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) in 2008, we have evolved into a pioneering automated container terminal originating from Japan.

Since our opening, with the support of our customers (shippers and shipping companies), as well as government and private sector stakeholders in the port community, along with the local community, and the dedicated efforts of all involved parties, we have been able to operate efficiently with high utilization rates, providing cost-effective services. We have continuously improved and evolved as an automated container terminal.

Amidst significant fluctuations in the global economy, the challenges posed by EGS and CN, intense competition from overseas ports, and the increasingly demanding environment surrounding Japanese ports, we remain committed to sustaining Nagoya Port as a preferred choice for our customers. We will continue to contribute to the development of Nagoya Port and Japanese ports, ensuring our sustainability and ongoing global relevance through further deepening and evolution here at Toyoshima Container Terminal Corporation.

Continued cooperation and support are greatly appreciated.
